Cierra Model C-IT Fire-Rated Access Doors

A “fire-barrier” access door approved for use in walls and ceilings. The FB can be installed in fire-rated walls or ceilings and maintains the fire barrier ratings. For walls, this door has an Underwriters Laboratories (UL), 1 1/2 hour “B” label, with a maximum temperature rise of 250° F. after 30 minutes. This door should be used in walls when temperature rise or heat transmission is a factor.

For fire-rated ceilings, this door has been approved by Warnock Hersey International for 3-hour in ceiling and 1 1/2 hour in walls.

The door contains two inches of fire-retardant insulation. A continuous hinge permits the door to open and close freely without binding or sagging. Mitered corners and a rolled flange provide an architecturally pleasing appearance as well as a tight finish between the frame and finished surface. The door is self-latching with automatic closure, and can be opened from the inside with an exclusive interior latch release handle. Frames are provided with both anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate easy installation.

For security, a latch bolt operated by a key is standard, with an interchangeable knob operator also being available.

• Frame shall be 16 gauge galvanized bonderized steel.
• Door shall be 20 gauge galvanized bonderized steel.
• Flange of door shall be rolled, 1 1/4" wide.
• Hinge shall be galvanized steel with stainless steel pin, continuous piano type.
• Latch shall be a bolt type, operated by a flush key device — all key alike, optional knurled knob or prepared for mortise cylinder.
• Door Closure shall be automatic, self-latching, and contain interior latch release handle.
• Insulation shall be 2” thick and fire retardant.
• Finish shall be paint grip.
