Cutler-Hammer Model MS Single Phase, Thermal Overload Switches, Flush Plate or NEMA-1

By using modular type components, the type MS motor starter permits the use of one toggle operated unit for a wide range of motor starter applications. The basic unit offers a high degree of flexibility because many individual components and adapter kits are available.

The MS motor starter is a compact, versatile unit featuring heavy sliding contacts as well as a “quick-make” and “quick-break” mechanism. The “plug-in” heater is manually inserted or removed; an adjustment knob allows adjustments of plus or minus ten percent of the nominal heater
rating.

One-pole, toggle operated switches are available in a variety of assembled configurations. Both can be furnished mounted on a general purpose flush plate, with or without a red pilot light, and with no switch box furnished. They are also available in a Type 1 general purpose enclosure, with or without a red pilot light.
